A favorite among music lovers of all ages, Joe McGuinness has exploded onto the Atlanta Blues/Roots scene. Even those whose musical palates aren't first drawn to the blues/folk/americana music, find themselves captivated by the indescribable melodic quality that can only be described as "Joe". Aside from his unmatched musical talent, Joe is widely recognized for his long dreadlocks and the slide that he keeps there. Combined with soulful lyrics and truly original vocal sound, Joe's outstanding Guitar playing and natural fingerpicking abilities make him an unparalleled musical must see!

Joe has recently been joined by Aaron Trubic on bass and Scott Callison on drums to form the McGuinness trio. Check the schedule to see where they'll be playing soon near you!

Officially released no June 5th 2008, "From These Seeds..." is Joe's first professionally recorded album. A beautiful story from beginning to end, it has been highly praised by all who have experienced it. The CD was recorded by Damien Lewis at 800 East Studios and features such special guests as the late legendary Donnie McCormick, Charlie Wooton, Julea Thomerson, Damien Lewis, and the late blues prodigy, Sean Costello. Joe has also been hard at work in the studio on his 2nd album, "Tin Umbrella". International artist Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers/King Johnson) acts as co-producer (and special guest) on this record - as well as Aaron Trubic and Scott Callison, along with some other special guest appearances. Once again recorded by Damien Lewis, this time at Exocet Studios.

Joe also recently served as narrator on a PBS special "Life by Lobster", written, directed and produced by Iain McCray Martin. Much of the music is from Joe's first album "From These Seeds" check www.lifebylobster.com for more info!
